Vinny

Logged on to the machine as a local user with no admin
rights. When I do properties on a file i dont see the
security tab. Is there an option I need to set?
 
Hi Vinny,

In the Windows XP Professional, you should see the Security tab no matter
what user you logon with.

In the Windows XP Home Edition, there has no Security tab. This behavior is
by design. If you want to see the Security tab, you should boot the
computer into the Safe Mode.

Note: if the file is on the FAT or FAT32 partition, there has no the
Security tab. Only the NTFS has the Security tab.
