security with DNS and SNMP

Greets all!

I have two general security questions:

1.) I have a basic DNS setup, where there are two local DNS servers. They
resolve all requests for local names, and then look up to the ISP's DNS
servers for Internet addresses. Pretty normal. Would it affect anything if
I disable Zone Transfers in the Forward Lookup Zones?

2.) Can anyone imagine any Windows system caring if I disabled SNMP on a
server?

Thanks for the help!

1. It would only affect DNS servers that are configured as secondaries for
those forward lookup zones. If you don't have any secondaries it would not
hurt anything.

2. If you are not using SNMP it should not matter.
