Security Warning

Every time I open a particular .mdb file I get "Security Warning: This file
may not be safe if it contains code that was intended to harm your computer.
Do you want to open this file or cancel the operation?"

The thing is, there is nothing harmful in this file. How can I tell Access
this file is okay, and not to run the security warning EVERY time it opens?

Access files can contain code that could be harmful. If it is your own
file or a file from a trusted source, don't worry about it. It is just a
general warning. On the other hand if you are not sure of the source, maybe
you should not open it.

You are probably using A2003. In this case, update JET ( + Windows +
Access, I suppose) to SP8 (Service Patch 8).

If the database has /not/ been secured using Access user-level
security, and your PC /is/ allowed to run script files such as
VBScript, then, /do not/ change your macro security to Low.

Instead, google this group for posts from me (TC) containing the word
"automationsecurity". This will show you a 5-line script file that will
suppress the warnings for that specific database, without affecting any
other databases.

TC
