Hello,

I've been playing with a 30 day trial of PS today, I installed a couple of
plugins, then the wireless went down. I've uninstalled the plugins thinking
it was them, rebooted but still nothing. I cannot through a wireless router
to the Internet. I can connect to the router without a problem and it says
ADSL is fine but the wireless light does not turn on. Since I restarted
there is Security Center icon in my system tray. Doubling-clicking on it
tells me its turned off, I try and turn it on and it says Security Center
service can't be started. Similar error with the Windows Wireless Service,
I diagnose the error, it tells me Windows Wireless Service is not running, I
select to start it and it tells Windows cannot resolve this problem. I've
checked my network adaptor settings and they are fine and I've powered up my
laptop and, as you can see, can connect to the Internet find so its not the
router or the ADSL connection so must be Windows Vista Ultimate on my
desktop.

Can anyone please help, I've tried everything I can think of and MS Support
doesn't seem to have anything about it for Vista.

if i am not wrong help center will also not function and they say windows
sockets failed to start, dependency service failed to start, blah...

i had the same problem. even windows restore did not work. the only option?
re-format the whole damn comp and reinstall vista.

No way, surely there is another option?
