Hi all:

I'm trying to give full control/access to 5 users to a
folder that is located within a folder. I need to
restrict access to the other 25 users to that specific
folder. When I do that the other five users have full
access to only certain files and folders within that
folder. I want those 5 users to have full access to all
the documents, and they can't, How can I fix this. I've
removed the everyone group and only listed the specific
users that I want to give access to.

Hope someone can help.

Thanks in advance.

Denise

The easiest way is to go to the folder you want to give them access to and explicitly
give them full access to that folder with ntfs permissions. [I assume you are
talking about ntfs here]. If a little window pops up it will ask you if you want to
clear or copy present inherited permissions. You will probably want to copy and then
modify to suit your needs with the five users. --- Steve
