Security Privledges

I have a folder on my server that has administrators privledges and rights
to a domain group. Within that folder are sub folders and files, pretty
straight forward. But withing the subfolders, the files don't have any
security privledges assigned and all options are grayed out. The security
properties tells me I don't have access to modify these settings when I
select the security tab. I am the admin on the server. I can't reset the
privledges, or anything on these files. What can I do to allow me to set
the security on these files.
