security policy after upgrade from NT domain

N

Neil McFadyen

I have upgraded a NT domain to win2000 AD, and have switched to native
mode.
I notice that all my logon scripts and the ntconfig.pol file were
automatically put in the new sysvol netlogon share. Is the old NT
policy (ntconfig.pol) still used by my NT clients or are the policies
replaced by the AD security settings?

I do not see some of the old NT policies options in the new win2000 AD,
such as limiting profile size

thanks

Your NT clients will continue to use the ntconfig.pol files. Only Windows
2000 and Xp clients are able to utilize group policies. You can continue to
use poledit to edit or create the NT policies.
