security patch for sp2

The latest ie 6 security patch is deemed mission critical by Microsoft and
it won't install on my sp2 beta system. Does anyone know if Is ie 6 sp2
(the version ie says it is) in need of the critical updates?

Exactly which Security Patch is it? There are a large number of previous
security fixes in XP SP2.
