Security Log-in

J

Jeri Baker

I created a database in Access2000 and set-up the One-Step
Security Wizard to allow limited permission for shared
users.

Now all my databases cannot be opened with a "log-in"
and "password", and the password in "invalid". I've tried
to log on as different users with the passwords I've set-
up but none of them work. I printed out the Security
Wized Report, which shows all the names and passwords.

I've tried to log on as "Admin" but that won't work. I've
tried all the "passwords" and none work.

HELP! I'm supposed to get this database working by the
end of today.

THANKS!

I don't think the Security Wizard Report prints out the passwords. I
believe it prints the usernames and PIDs. A PID is not a password.
Initially users' passwords are blank. Try logging in with a blank password.
Once in you can set the password.

The report shows my name as the User Name along with my
company's name and a work group ID. The report also shows
Secured Objects, Groups and Users (including passwords).
I've tried to log-in with the users name & passwords and
none of them work.
