I have somethign very strange going on in my Windows 2000 active directory
network.

I have 2 domain controllers which have been working fine up until now.

The problem I am experiencing is that I create a new DISTRIBUTION group for
use with exchange and add members, not a problem. The strange thing that is
happening, after a random amount of time, I go back into active directory
users and computers and the distribution group has changed to a SECURITY
group!

Anyone any idea's or had this before ?

Hi,

Did you create the Distribution group through AD users and computers or
dsmod command?
Create another Distribution group through AD users and Computers with
global scope and check it up. There is no auto conversion from one group to
another group. You have to manually convert the group using AD users and
computers snap in or dsmod command tool.

Thanks,
