security for flash drive?

I use XP home on all my PCs.

I just purchased a 1 GB flash drive (it was on sale for $24) but it has no
security at all. Is there free software I can use to secure the data on it?

Which brand - most ( SanDisk, Lexar ) have the Security/Encryption app
available for download on their websites.

Try freeware "Truecrypt"
