Is it possible to monitor what is being played on a DVD-ROM other than just
bookmarks logged by WIN DVD (running Windows XP Professional)? Is anything
specific logged in event viewer or other admin. tools?

Not without some kind of third-party software... and I'm not familiar with
anything that does that off the top of my head. Windows doesn't log that
kind of stuff.
