Security Center Question

I just added a new HD for my OS & apps which was cloned (Acronis) from my old
one. All works fine, except I now get a security center warning (shield in
task bar) that my firewall is "on" and my virus protection is "off". However,
in Windows/firewall area, it shows firewall "off" which is what I want
because I use and external hardware firewall - which seems to be working OK.
Further, my virus protection is NAV2006 and also seems to be working OK. What
is causing the apparent "false reporting" my the security center and how do I
eliminate the warning shield?

I use WIN XP, Sp2. Thanks.

Click on the shield that's located in the system tray and select 'change the
way Security center notifies me' or words to that affect, then, remove the
marks next to all that apply, okay or apply your way out. However, you can
take it a step further by clicking on the firewall 'recommendations' and
checking the box that says you have and want to monitor your own firewall
and m$ should stop alerting you.
