Since I installed Microsoft security I have had trouble getting into Comcast
homepage, My bank website and some Internet games I love to play. I keep
getting a message that Internet Explorer has encounter a problem and has to
shut down. If I can't fix this problem How do I uninstall Microsoft
Security? I restored my computer to earliest date possible, for a couple of
days I was able to get into these websites with no problems. Then it started
again, never had problem before installing Microsoft security. Help Please

Hi,
I would do two things before you uninstall the MS security program. Open a
web brower (doesnt matter if it loads a page) go to tools, scroll down to
internet options, click on the tab for security, you will see 4 icons (
internet, Local Intranet, trusted sites, resrticted sites) at the bottom of
the page click on restore defaults for each icon. You may have a setting that
is to high for those pages to display.

If that doesnt work.....There is a possibility you either have alot of
spyware or a virus that is causing the problem. Go download
Adware(www.lavasoft.com), Spybot, and if you are running Windows xp or 2000
get the MS Anti-spyware program. Run all three programs. There isn't one
program that gets all the spyware. All these programs are free to use.
Install the programs, UPDATE them, then run them. Those programs will
elimnate a large portion of spyware that has gotten on your system. I dont
know if you have virus protection. If you do and it hasnt been updated in
awhile you may be infected. The key is keep them updated. You are only
protected as your last virus/spyware definitions are updated. If you do have
a virus I would either take it to a computer repair shop to remove it or do
yourself. If you dont have experience with that then take it to a local
computer repair shop. Good Luck

Dear Metalfinger,
I tried the procedure you gave, it didn't work. It seems like some setting
is restricting these websites from coming on. When I used restore my system,
then I was able to access these websites. Then the next day I couldn't access
them again. I have spy sweeper installed and EZ Antivirus installed and run
them regularly. I get other websites, just these certain websites I can't
get. Comcast home page, Slingo.com, my bank website. Don't know why anymore
suggestions? Thanks, vls
