Has secpol.msc disappeared under SP2? I want to examine my CD-ROM access
settings under Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Local Security Policy, but
the Local Security Policy icon seems to have disappeared. I cannot use the
alternative, running secpol.msc, because it doesn't seem to be on my
computer. Has SP2 eliminated it, and if so how can I enable or disable
"Devices: Restrict CD-ROM access to locally logged-on user only."
I am trying to fix a basic problem: Windows freezes when I insert the second
disk of a two-disk DVD application installation. I'm using a Ricoh MP5240A
DVD+RW/+R.
Grateful for any help
Ken

Hi Ken,

No, it hasn't disappeared. You may want to run sfc /scannow to replace any
missing files.

Its there on my Pro - Sp2 system (but is not in Home). Try Start - Run
and run gpedit.msc, of which it is a subset
