Secondary dns server not updating from Primary

Hi All

I have a primary and secondary DNS servers; however, the secondary is not being updated. I tried to force a zone transfer from the secondary server from the action menu, but that did not work either. I recently had some problems with DNS not updating its forward lookup zone A records, and I was told that this had to do with applying SP4 to a DC on a domain with a single label name. We are in the process of correcting this, but in the mean time I need to have a secondary DNS server that functions. I applied the UpdateTopLevelDomainZones DWORD value to the registry on all the servers and workstations and this patch the previous problem with the forward lookup zone, but why is this information not replicating to the secondary DNS server

You'll need to make sure that zone transfers are enabled at the primary.
What events get logged in the DNS log of the secondary when the zone
transfers fail?

Hi J.C,

The Zone transfers are enabled at the primary, and nothing is logged in the
DNS log of the secondary zone. Today I deleted the secondary zone and
recreated, I will have to wait and see if the transfers are taking place.
