You cannot expect a Microsoft news group to give you "exact" procudures for
setting up a Linux machine but the general method is to make sure you are
running
at least BIND 4.9.2 (certainly you are) or an equivalent DNS server that
supports
"SRV" records.

Create the secondary zone and point it to your primary on Win2000.

Make sure you have the Primary set to allow zone transfers -- to at least
this new
Linux machine (server properties.)
I have allowed zone transfer for my Primary to the linux Machine
I went and created the slave zone in the Linux Machine for my primary dns

Sometimes -- not usually for recent software -- you must use the Primary's
"Advanced" property tab to "Allow BIND secondaries" (but that is actually
for OLD versions.)
What to do?? Kindly help

Go back and check your settings. Likely you put in an incorrect IP, or
messed
up the configuration file on Linux, or just forgot to start the server.

As Herb said, we're not here to provide step by step for BIND. However, once
you set it up, there are issues regarding this. See if the articles below
will help you out.
