secedit template import

I'm using the secedit /configure command to add the "Log on as a service" right to a user using a template I created from the security snap-in. The problem is that using this command overwrites the previous entries for Log on as a service, and what I'm really after is a merge or append. I have explicitly left off the /overwrite option...

The secedit command wouldn't allow me to modify the secedit.sdb file, so I created my own file, myedit.sdb. I would like to know how to append/add a specific setting for a user to my local security policy using secedit and a custom template without effecting prior settings for other users.
