Searching Notes Field

I just upgraded to Outlook 2007 from Outlook XP. I used Office XP to search
for items in the contact notes field, but cannot find a way to do it in 2007.
I've indexed my computer, including Outlook. I also can't find any advanced
search functions that cover the notes field. What has changed? What am I
missing? Thanks! (MicroSoft support has been unable to provide an answer.)

Adding to my own post...I wondered if I could search the "Notes" folder in
Outlook 2007 (not to be confused with the "notes" field in contacts, my
original problem.) I found I could search for up to the first 14 characters
at the beginning of a note -- and that's it. No searches beyond 14
characters. I tried a search of "Notes" with Outlook XP and no problem -- I
could find a word in the middle of a long note. What is going on with
searches in 2007???
