Searching Newsgroups

When I download 300 headers in my Outlook newsreader and do a search, I
believe it only searches those 300 items.
Is there a way to get it to search back a few thousand posts while staying
in my Outlook newsreader?
Or do I always have to go to the Microsoft Newsgroup site in my IE browser
and search that way?

You actually should post this question in the Outlook Express newsgroup -
however....you might try Google Groups (http://groups.google.com) for a
better search tool that goes back literally years.
