Searching email header info??

Aaron

I want to search my old email headers for a particular IP address that
may appear in the "Received from" or "X-Originating-IP" or similar
fields. I can't find an effective way to do this in the find or
advanced find options in outlook.

Any idea on how I can search this header information?

Thanks.

What version of Outlook. Outlook 2002's Rules, for example, can look in the
headers. You can create a rule that will scan the headers for the strings
you want and move the message to another folder. When run, the rule will
give you a folder containing all the mesages whose headers contain the
string.

Thanks. That worked like a charm in my Outlook 2002.
