Holy crap!

I just found a folder under my Desktop "Owner" folder entitled
"Searches" and it's filled with hundreds of sub-folders totalling
mega-mega-gigs of data.

This hogs up a lot of space! Am I supposed to keep this? I can see
some use for it occasionally, but for me it's not that valuable. Have
others found it to be of use? Can I "tune" it so that it deletes the
oldest files after a certain amount of time has elapsed? I tried to
manually delete -- no effect.

Help anyone?

If you right-click the Searches folder under C:\Users\(Your Name), and
choose Properties, on the General tab, just how big is it space-wise,
looking at "Size:"?

The things you see in the Searches folder aren't sub-folders - they are
actually executing a search when you open them. So the files you seeing are
other files on your hard-drive that are found in the search, so I wouldn't
recommend deleting them!

The actual size of the Searches folder should be tiny - unless someone has
copied large amounts of data into that folder.
