Why can I not search for information when using the "Search for" box in
Windows XP Help and Support ?

What happens?

You cannot type into the search box?

Nothing happens when you click the arrow or hit Enter?

Do you get any error messages?

My crystal ball is broken and most of us cannot read minds.

I have the same problem: whatever I search for, in any forum, returns
"not found"

And how can I quickly locate my own posts - and answers to them?

The reason you're having such problems is that you are using the web
interface to read this newsgroup--it's the slowest, clunkiest, most
error-prone method there is. Do yourself a favor and switch to a newsreader,
such as Outlook Express, which comes with Windows. See

My problem started after I loaded Internet Explorer 7. When I type " search"
in the search box I get a messagesaying "your query did not return results".
I tried going to "tools" and looking up "account" but it is not in the
"tools"menu. Any other suggestions?
