Search starting Office 2003 installation

When I start Windows' search, it starts up the insallation for Office 2003
and runs through the entire thing. If I press cancel, it crashes explorer
for a few seconds. This computer is part of a Novell network but all the
applications are installed locally, including Office. Any possible reasons
why this is happening?

Could be a patch trying to install via the administrator...?

Which only strengthens the point..

The administrator could be trying to push a patch. Perhaps the patch was
not tested well before pushing for people without administrative privs or
maybe there is just something wrong with that local account.. Whatever the
case - if the machine was logged into as an administrator and all of the
Office 2003 patches installed - there is a possibility that the problem you
are seeing might go away.
 
Has this problem started after installing Office 2003?
If Yes, u need to uninstall office 2003 and reinstall it. It will correct
your problem.
some our your office files are conflicting.
