Search results do not display

I have a 'Search' problem and would be grateful for some assistance. When I
do a search for files on my PC, although it finds some files, it does not
display any of the details. I just get blanks. The search I have just
completed informs me "There were 12 files found. ...", but when in thumbnail
view, only the outer boxes are displayed. In the other views, there are no
details whatsoever. Can you suggest how I can restore this function please.
Thank you.

Go to Start, Control Panel, Folder Options, View, Advanced Settings and
verify that the box before "Show hidden files and folders" is checked and
"Hide protected operating system files " is unchecked. You may need to
scroll down to see the second item. You should also make certain that the
box before "Hide extensions for known file types" is not checked. Next in
Windows Explorer make sure View, Details is selected and then select
View, Choose Details and check before Name, Type, Total Size, and
Free Space.

When you Search check the first three "More Advanced Options".

Hope this helps.
