When I click on the "search" button in Windows Explorer, it takes an awfully
long time for the search window to open and when the search is completed,
the closing of the window takes forever.. I usually have to do an alt, ctl,
del, to close it.. (and it the task manager says "program not responding").
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hi there,

Click Start, Run, type "regsvr32 /i shell32" (w/o quotation marks) and
click Ok.

that seemed to help start the search quicker but still, when the search is
finished or I end it, the search doesn't close.I still have to go to the
task manager to end the process..
