search pops up when icon is clicked

every time I double click on any desktop icon, the search window pops up. I
have searched thru folder options and cannot fix this problem. The only way I
can oen any icon on the computer is to right click and select open. Any hel
would be areciated. Thanks

Click on XP fixes (at the left), then at the right click on "search
appears when double-clicking a folder."
