Search issue

My question is; why vista search cannot find any specific word within a
document? I have tried advanced, but without any luck. Any suggestions to
enable search to search inside documents?

You have to make sure that the indexing is set properly up.

Control Panel (Classic View (in the left panel)>>Indexing
Options>>Advanced>>Examine the listbox with file extensions. the .txt file
extension should be unchecked. Also if you are searching thru .rtf files
that should be unchecked also. This is only a part of the story.

After you closed that, click Modify button and in the next window click
"show all locations."

You may find that your C: disk is NOT actually INCLUDED in the search
