Search identical values in a column

I'd like Excel to search for identical values in the cells of a colum
and then return the identical values found and in which cells they are
Most ideal was when I could use it as a macro. The values it has t
search for have the format of a car licence plate, so it i
alpha-numerical.

Can someone help me to achieve this, because I can't find it out b
myself... :confused:

If you copy the numbers into a helper column (ie. two
columns side by by side like [A] then you could put
this formula in [C] and copy down for matches and in which
column they are in. (eg. is for 15 numbers, change to suit
your needs.)

=MATCH(A1,$B$1:$B$15,0)
