Search Form Using FP 2000 (syntax error)

I'm not having any luck with the FP 2000 search form
component. I get the following error:
Line: 2
Char: 1
Error: syntax error
Code: 0
Any search produces a "document not found" message
Obviously, there is an error somewhere but I haven't a
clue as where to look or what to do about it. Your help
would be appreciated.

Just a thought, this might not help but...

The "search" function when placed on your page while your
designing on your comp or using a disk based web does not
work until the page is uploaded to a web server using
Microsoft Frontpage Server Extensions...

Just a thought...

Thanks for the thought. It has been uploaded, checked and
found the error I mentioned. It has been deleted,
reinstalled with the same result. Any other suggestions?
