Search for dublicates

Dear all

i have in column R a list of codes, around 5000 entries.
there is any possibility to create a formula in column S in order to verify
if there is a dublicate entry?
The codes has the following type: R895763, R874325, etc

Hi!

One way:

Assume codes start in cell R1.

Enter this formula in S1:

=IF(COUNTIF(R$1:R1,R1)>1,"dup","")

Copy down as needed.
