search feature of IE overwritten !

recently I was surfing and picked up some pop ups, this
has since been cleared but for some reason when I press
search next to favorites in my I.E. browser bar, I dont
get the traditional msn search that I used to get.

I am now getting a weird search engine with no name that
even when I type in Yahoo I get links back that have no
relation, (spy ware, escorts, and other weird stuff.)
where as I used to get Yahoo.com as "top pick". Of course
I can still go directly to www.yahoo.com, but I can not
find anything I need using the I.E. search, I need to
bring up a different search engine first.


Does anyone understand this,? I want to get the original
search engine back to I E , like everyone has.
I have downloaded every update and cant seem to find a
specific fix for this problem.

Any help out there?

As you search for items on the Internet, you may want to
customize the way you search. You can choose which search
categories are available and which search providers to use
for your searches.

To customize your searches, click the Search button on the
toolbar, and then click the Customize button in the Search
bar. You can customize a variety of search options, or
choose a default search provider.
