WHen I try to browse the web using any search engine I get
a "page cannot be displayed message. What can I do to fix
this problem?

giovanny,
Sounds like "TrojanQhost" ........ however your AV should have detected
this!
Also your Firewall should have alerted you this Trojan was connecting!

Trojan Qhosts hijacks the HOSTS file, however unlike normal redirectors,
this one hides the HOSTS file in the "Windows\Help" folder.

See: http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm
Download: either "RenHelpHostsXP.bat" or RenHelpHostsME.bat"
Follow up with the link provided instructions .......
