I have a new laptop. It has XP Pro on it. I installed Office 2003 Pro on it,
using the same CDs that came with my desktop which has run it fine for a
while now. I do a Search on the laptop's C: drive for *.pst or for outlook
and it doesn't turn up the outlook.pst file that's being used by Outlook.
When I copy my .pst file from the desktop into a "temp" folder on the laptop,
a search on the laptop for *.pst does fine that. When I open Outlook and look
at the properties of the personal folder, it says the file name is
outlook.pstr. When I look in Windows Explorer at that path, it shows
outlook.pst is there -- yet search won't find it?
What is up with that???
