Where are the settings for the Search Customize
in the Explorer bar? Mine is set to use Google but
I would like other options. There is nothing under
the view > explorer > search > customize button.

I am not exactly sure what you are looking for. But if
you click the Search icon on the toolbar then Customize,
You can choose to use one service or use search assistant
that lets you use up to seven engines.

If you are looking to search from the address bar, click
on auto search settings on the same page.

you must make sure the search from address bar is enabled
in tools> internet options

In internet explorer 6.0....
view > explorer > search(ctrl+e) > customize button.
there is nothing in the "customize" at this location.
Google is the only search option....where are other
options.

Hi - Well, I wrote that particular little .reg file, and most people have
found that it works OK. However, an alternative is: In IE6 go to
Tools|Internet Options|Programs and click on Reset Web Settings. BE AWARE
though that this will reset your homepage (if you don't disallow it) and
search settings to the IE6 defaults. It's not as extensive a reset as the
RestoreSearch reg file, but you might be more comfortable with it. :)
