Search Companion not working after last auto-update

The Search Companion is no longer working...it opens a window and shows the
dog at the bottom but nothing else. Search Companion within IE6 & the Start
button provide the same results.

This all started after the last auto-update from Windows.

One thing that was brought to my attnetion was that IE7 was installed and
then removed as well.

I'll try Kelly's when I get home today.

The fix from the second Kellys page didn't fix it either.

Maybe a System Restore to a date before the IE7 install, or repair of XP?
