Hi Jason :)

How to turn off Autocomplete in XP

Go to Tools>Internent Options>Content>click AutoComplete button
Click the Clear Forms button
Click OK and OK out
Close IE
Reboot your computer
also..
Tools>Internet Options>Content Tab>AutoComplete.
Remove the check in Web Addresses and click Clear Forms to remove what
is currently saved.

and...

Search - Clear History

Automated Edit:

Clear Search History under Search (Line 24)

Manual Edit:

Go to Start/Run/Regedit and navigate to this key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Search Assistant\ACMru

To prevent keeping a history altogether, right click ACMru/Permissions/Deny
all users and groups listed. Alternatively, IE/Search/Change
Preferences/Turn AutoComplete Off.

If you prefer not to edit the registry, this utility will do it for you:
Clears Run History, Typed URL's, etc.

Clear Recent File Lists (Search History Clear) Line 41

However, URLs in the dropdown list when you click the arrow on the right
side of the
Address Bar may not all clear when the History is cleared. You can safely
remove them with
any of these free programs:
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/delcache.htm
and download "DelTypedURL." This INF file will remove all entries.

EditURLs: http://www.aandrc.com/editurls/index.htm

CCleaner

or

Hope this helps.
