search assistant

The search assistant "Look In" combobox only contains My
Documents, My Pictures, and Desktop. There is
no "browse ..." choice in the list.

Hi,

1. Log on as an Administrator or as a member of the Administrators group.
2. Click Start, select Run, and type the following command:

C:\Windows\inf

3. Click Tools.
4. Click Folder Options.
5. Click View tab.
6. Check(put a dot) Show Hidden Files and Folders.
7. Click Apply and Click Ok.
8. Now you can locate the Srchasst.inf file.
9. Right-click the file and select Install. This will reinstall the files
that are required for Search to operate normally.
