Search Assistant does not display "Browse..."

I have a computer where Search Assistant is not working properly. Normally
you can use Search Assistant by selecting Start->Search->Files or Folders,
and then specifying the folder to be searched in the "Look in:" drop-down box
by selecting "Browse...".

Now, only My Documents and Local Hard Drives (C:) are displayed. "Browse..."
no longer appears as an option. I have tried re-registering jscript.dll and
vbscript.dll - both registered successfully but did not solve the problem.
I've also right-clicked the Srcassist.inf file and reinstalled it, using the
files from the I386 folder. This did not restore the "Browse..." option
either.

If anyone could help me out here, I'd definitely appreciate it. Thanks in
advance.

You can highlight anything in the pane and type C:\ (e.g.) over it.
That may not help returning the missing devices, but may do as an
alternative till a solution is found.
