Hi.

Is there a way to perform a search within a query that
will look for the text value in any part of a field. For
instance, if there was a list of companies and I wanted
to search for the text, "DANA", I would want both of the
following entries to appear: DANA CORPORATION, DANA
SUPPLIES .

I would know how to do this in Excel with the "Find"
function, but cannot figure out how to do this in
Access. I am using the XP version.

Thanks,
Mike.

Thanks, Dan!

Hi,
You can use the wildcard character, * to do this.
If you enter a criteria of "*Dana*" you'll get everything
with Dana in it.
