Search a column

[XLConnect]

Hi there.

I would like to search down a column for a result in another, however
cant work out how to do it.

It isnt as simple as matching up A1 with B1 all the way down, there ma
be something the same as A1 anywhere from B1 to B3000!

Any ideas?
I would greatly appreciate some help!

=MATCH(A1,B1:B3000,0)
to return the row number

I came back to say i had finally done it with COUNTIF() inside an IF(
for a simple Yes/No.

I will try your way as it sounds more helpfull when finding th
location of the the duplicates.
