Seagate RMA Turnaround

I've had to RMA more than half the drives I purchased in the past 3
years, but this is my first Seagate RMA experience. Are all HD makers
this inefficient now?

14 Oct - Priority Mailed per RMA instructions (FL)
18 Oct - Delivery to destination by USPS (TX)
29 Oct - Receipt acknowledged by Seagate
30 Oct - Airborne bill of lading
31 Oct - delivery by Airborne (FL)

IIRC, Quantum/Maxtor and IBM/Hitachi were considerably faster.

No, Maxtor are excellent, but then again they have to be. I have bought a
lot of their Diamondmax Plus 9 drives and RMA'd almost all of them. One
only lasted a week. Shocking quality, but great RMA service !

You've gotta be killing them with an obscene record like that.
