SDK / API

Where is the Windows Messenger SDK? It looks like maybe it used to be on the
Microsoft web site, but it's not there now. I can see lots of documentation
on IMessenger, IMessenger2, etc interfaces and they say that I need msgrua.h
and msgrua.idl, but those files cannot be found anywhere.

Has that API been replaced with something else or is there no longer an API?

Greetings,

No it's still there and with the exception of the Windows Live Messenger Add-In managed API
(only for Windows Live Messenger), it's still in every Messenger version (to various
degrees).

If you need the header files, just toss me an e-mail and I'll be happy to send them to you.

Thanks for the reply.

I would like the header files, and I assume there's an IDL file, too. But
why aren't the SDK files available for download from the web? I don't want
to post my email address here for spammers.

Hi,

I actually can't answer that question as I really don't know. What I can tell you is that
the Windows Messenger team has been split up for about two years, so there's really no one
left to complain to about it.

I didn't ask you to post your e-mail address here; I asked you to e-mail me using my address
on here which is valid.
