Im having trouble with a virus/trojan who calls itself scvhost.exe

It plants it self in
C:\temp
C:\autoback
C:\windows svchest
C:\system scvhost
In the prefetch too
And just recently a file called ISS scvhesta
HKLM\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run =only23
&
HKLM\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run =msconfigs

Aol spyware picks up and deletes backdoor.xeol.a
Windows defender permits the registry keys
Ad aware finds nothing.
My firewall is Zonealarm.

It initally opens a window called "windowhider.exe"
It opens up IE and trys to access 2 websites and causes the CPU to run at 100%

Iv checked the host file and it hasnt been hijacked by anything.

Iv tried deleting all the places it drops but IE still opens and the CPU is still 100% so im missing something somewhere. Every day or so the folders re-appear. ARGHHH!

Iv done a HiJackThis scan as im at today (with pop ups but no folders i can see)

HJT says your Log is clean, but I do not see an AntiVirus program running on your system.

I suggest you install, update & run AntiVir ... http://www.free-av.com/ ... and get a second opinion from an on-line scanner such as HouseCall.

SCVHost

I'm having a similar problem. When I restart my computer, my task manager, regedit, and system restore are all disabled. I am able to enable all three, but once I restart again they are once again disabled. Also, I can't use system restore because all of the old restore points are gone. Spybot shows that scvhost.exe is a startup process, so I've removed it numerous times but it's always still there when I reboot. I've searched the registry but I can't find anything else to delete, and no actual scvhost.exe file exists in windows/system32. Also no strange processes are running in the background, but when I try to delete processes it acts really weird and doesn't let me delete them. This is definitely the toughest virus I've ever delt with... Any suggestions?
