Scrren Save Locks Up in Windows 2000

I am running windows 2000 professional and have recently
uninstalled several programs, cleaned, defraged and then
installed one new program. For some reason, windows
locks up when it now goes into screen saver mode. Any
suggestions?
 
Hi Jason,

You have to uncheck (disable) the "on resume, password protect" feature on
screen saver tab. To do that, follow the simple instruction:

Go to control panel and double click "Display" icon
Go to "screen saver" tab
uncheck the "on resume, password protect" box.
Click "OK" to save.

It would prevent giving password while running screen saver.
