hello,
I've just installed XP Professional on my laptop and
can'twork out how to stop windows refreshing the entire
page whenever I scroll using the arrows or page up/down.
Any ideas?

Turning off smooth-scrolling may help. Get TweakUI from
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp and
turn this off under "Explorer".
