Scroll bars I pasted in document don't work for others

I received a Word document saved using 2002 sp3. In it are fields copied an
pasted from the internet containing scroll bars. The person who sent it can
use the bars to scroll up or down. I cannot. The bars are not active.

Press ALT+F9 - what do the 'fields' change to?
Is this supposed to be a form? Is the form protected for forms - click the
padlock on the forms toolbar to toggle forms protection?
From your description I suspect this document may contain macros. Have you
allowed macros to run?
