How does Win2K Compare with 2K3, XP, and 98 when it comes to securing network, scripting, and data transfer technologies such as WSH, WMI, BITS, HTTP. Specifically, which OS would be easier to administer with SMS? Which is the most secure while running SMS?

I believe Windows 2000/2003/XP Pro are all equal in administering System Management Server.
We use SMS with some clients running 2000, others running XP.
98 is not even close to being secure, if you have the ability to upgrade, do it.
98 does not offer IPSec. 2000/2003/XP do.
2000 SP4 using IPSec is very secure.
2003 still has some bugs because its newer, but so do 2000 and XP.
In my opinion 2000 SP4 and 2003 are the best.
