i have recently been getting many script errors "error running scripts on
this page" with various different detailed messeges. this system never had
that problem until recently. i had been doing many things to setup a network
at home. xp and win 98 had troubles until i got a new router.
the odd thing is that a pc networked to this pc is doing similar things with
many script errors.....2 things come to mind...., i joined an online tech
support forum recently and provided detailed info of my network setup,
assured it could pose no security threat....and also an e-mail slipped
through my normally "alert" personal protocals and i opened it (no
attachment, i think). i also had my firewalls disabled for a short period of
time as i tried to work on the win 98 internet access.
i worry that my pc may have some security issues...or i may have just
inadvertantly changed something during the network crisis. but the script
errors are a new thing that are shared by two of three pcs i have, and both
that do were linked at the that period of time.
any ideas?
