I am getting the following script error when I try to open the
MediaGuide or Radio Tuner in Windows Media Player v9.00.00.2980

Internet Explorer Script Error

An error has occurred in the script on this page
Line 1
Char 1
Error Object doesn't support this property or method
Code 0
URL: res://wmploc.dll/offline_MediaGuide [or RadioTuner].htm

The Player is not in offline mode according to 'File / Offline' option

Whilst this error ocurres within Windows Media Player, the error refers
to Internet Explorer which is why I have posted the query here. Can
someone advise me how I can correct this error?

From http://www.fjsmjs.com/IE/scriptdb.htm

Go to Tools | Internet Options | Advanced.
Check the box to Disable script debugging.
Uncheck the box to Display a notification about every script error.

You might want to refresh your scripting engine:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/nhp/default.asp?contentid=28001169
or
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/downloads/list/webdev.asp
Windows Script 5.6 for Windows 2000 and XP
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...43-7e4b-4622-86eb-95a22b832caa&DisplayLang=en

Sometimes there's a corrupt file in the cache and one must go to Tools |
Internet Options and click Delete Files.

Thankyou for all that usefull information. I now need some further
advice about the way to refresh the scripting engine.
I followed the instructions to 'Check the box to disable script
debugging' and 'Uncheck the box to display a notification about every
script error' but this was already done so I reasoned that I will have
to refresh the scripting engine.
I have visited all three links you gave but cannot find any
instructions for the installation of the 'Windows script 5.6 for Windows
2000 and XP'. Could you outline the procedure for me? Should I go to
Tools/Internet options and 'Delete Files' before I attempt to install
the script? Any help to sort this would be appreciated..........

Downloading and running scripten.exe from:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...43-7e4b-4622-86eb-95a22b832caa&DisplayLang=en
is independent of clearing TIF. Do them in whatever order you like.

I have done everything you suggest and I still get the same error
message! Any more suggestions?

Can I reinstall IE on top of the version I now have? Do you think that
might help? If this is worth a try where would I get the most up to date
version of IE from?
Sorry to keep coming back, I really need to access some radio ststions.
